One hose comes from the crankcase and into the filter to get out the yucky stuff then the out line returns to the crankcase thus theoretically keeping the same pressure as the stock system
As ErnestEugene said
Having a slight suction applied to a crankcase is beneficial in several ways. It aids venting of the corrosive blow-by gases and reduces soot contamination of the oil, it helps prevent oil leaks, and technically speaking it increases HP but not by enough to worry about!
What is the success rate of eleminating the greasy mess on the engine using this system?
What I did was I ran the hose off the dog house down the frame to the canister that I made which was 2" PVC with the end cap and coupling for the screw on fitting. I used the two brass fittings for the inlet and outlets and I returned the other line back to where it originally went into the air intake. I made the stainless steel bracket and used one half of an exhuast hanger clamp to hold it. I used the rectangle HVAC register vent filters inside of the canister. The bottom line is the inlet and the top line is the outlet. LIke I said I've been running this for around a year and I dont have any oily residue on my intercooler boots. I drain it and change the filter about ever oil change and the filters I use are like $3 or $4(i think) for a pack of like 20. I usually stick two or three in at a time because they are like a 1/4" thick.
good deal king... How did you attach the brass fittings?
Well now Im all torn up about your way or guzzles way. I honestly like your way cuz I dont have to mod the intake tube... but I also like the intake mod due to the removal of the plastic piece inside the intake tube where the ccv plugs in.
decisions decisions decisions.......

Reason: update
I drilled the holes to the size that you would to be able to tap them and I put a little bit of heat with a propane torch on the PVC to help, and just screwed the brass fittings in. The fittings I used, I think you would call them a 3/4" barbed fitting(?)
When I went to Lowes to get the supplies the guy in the hose isle asked me how many beer bongs I was planning on making to need that much hose! HA HA! I said its for my truck but if I have any left over...well! He said I think thats what all the young people are doing with hose now-a-days.
RiffRaff Performance has the CCV kit for around $30. With a powdercoated pipe.
Hit him up with a PM, He's on here. or call him. 541-879-1052
Hope this helps

This kit is in packaging this next week and then will be ready to ship. For the first lot it will be powder coated tubing and "atmospherically vented" CCV line, but then the "scrubbing" eco-can will be coming available within the following weeks. Pricing for this kit will be $29.99 + actual, non-inflated shipping cost to your door. By the way, in the spirit of providing only the best in this kit it will include Vitron o-rings from Guzzle, www.dieselorings.com, to replace that unreliable stock ones. The reason for this kit is to provide a quality service, not to make a profit. I want to help those out that don't want to spend a saturday running around rounding up parts. You order and get a turn key product that has been produced for your convenience. Colors can also be special ordered for a small fee, in just about any shade you can imagine. It is also possible if I can get the whole 30 kit lot pre-ordered I might be able to knock-down or possible knock-off the shipping. Let me know what you guys think...
my set up seems to work well with my AFE pro guard... I clean Pete's filter cover and my filter every oil change..at that point Pete's cover just starts to darken..I wash it with simple green and all is good..I have clean pipes and no smoke or smell from it...Justin is running this with his 6637..he has no complaint from what I under stand..but he did say he can see a little puff of smoke at a stop..this may be because he doesn't have a closed in are box like the AFE...
Heres a pic of mine. Mine returns to the intake and I have a filter in it. I used HVAC vent filters. I've been running this for about a year now with no problems. Total cost was around 30 bucks the best I remember. Pay no attention to the zipties..That was a temporary fix and and at least $2 of the total cost.
Lee,I am running guzzle set up with good luck, and my IC boots stay clean.
Have you thought about drilling and taping the oil fill cap,so it vents from both sides of the engine with this system to maybe vent even better?
I like the idea of your set up and now you have me rethinking things.
Naw, Brad I hadnt. I remember reading that the one side was enough but its like anything, there will always be discussion on it. I know when I clean and change the filter its nasty in there.
Clay do you have any pictures of the kits you have for sale? I'm just curious as to what all it is.

I will as soon as everything gets out of powder coating this week. It isn't earth shattering, just more geared towards those on a budget that want a finished looking product. As soon as I get some pics I will post them for you.
Thanks Clay, I would appreciate it. I'm really just curious as to what yours looks like. I have since had to relocate mine due to adding a prepump filter, and dont like how I have it now and just looking for more ideas of whats out there.
