for the first time my check engine light came on in my 94 i6 f150 i have a cold air intake (can be seen in my album) on it,i live in wisconsin, the light came on pulling out of work and about a mile down the road the light went out,i cant pull codes cause i dont have equipment for that, and its to cold to stand outside and do it,the truck doesnt run weird or anything, when i turn the ignition on it sometimes make a weird sound other than the fuel pump kicking in,the sound is like a sucking in sound,i dont know how to discribe it,im hoping its one of those times when the light just comes on and there is nothing wrong or it was a little slush hitting something if u what to see pic of the intake u would have to go into the public profile the gallery link isnt showing pics like it should
Rockin300.....You don't need any equipment to pull the codes on a 94.
Here is a link from the Tech section at the top of this forum. It will show you how to pull the codes and there is a link there that lists the codes. I will also point out that you get to sit inside you truck while you read them. Mine used to come on when I would climb a steep hill by my place, or the odd time I would gun it, but it's long since stopped.
If it went back out...it's likely nothing major, but the computer will have stored the codes.
Hope this helps!
