How to replace door locks?
On my 84 f250, I got new doors off an 88 since mine were rusted out. the problem is, I dont have the key for the locks and the key I have fits in but doesnt turn. I want to know how to replace the locks and if theres a difference in the part between the sliding lock and push up type lock. I have the kind that the rod comes up on the top of the panel.

Open the door and you'll see a flat metal clip about a 1/4" wide.
Stick something between the door and the clip and pull it out. You can then pull the lock out from the outside and release the rod. If you already have the inner door panels off, you can remove the rod first.
