deep trans pan
I am looking for a alum. deep trans pan for my 05 F150 FX4. I read that it has a 4R75E trans and I have heard that this is just an upgraded 4R70W. Is this true and can I use a pan built for that trans or is there a difference and if so were can I find one for my truck?

I just installed a PML pan on my '08 with the 4R75. I used the B&M pan on my '03 Expedition a few years ago, but the bolts they supplied were too short for the reusable gasket and I pulled a few threads out of one of the bolt holes, so they lost my business. You can opt to get the PML pan in black powder coat. The aluminum pans get pretty stained after a few years of off road use. PML makes a distinction between the AODE, 4R70 and 4R75 and the AOD. The B&M pan held a quart more, but it was pretty low.
The back two bolts on these deep pans are almost impossible to get to. The bolts supplied are allen bolts, but you can both thread and tighten the two rear bolts with a long allen wrench.
