After having my truck more than 2 and 1/2 years, I have finally decided. I am going to get 18" Moto Metal 951's in black. Now for the tires. I'm thinking about 325x60R18. It seems like my choices are either Nitto or Toyo. Does anybody have any suggestions or experiences with this setup or something similar??
By the way, it's a 2006 SuperCrew 4x4. I am getting the 2" AS leveling kit that has been sitting in the garage for awhile put on shortly.
By the way, how does the truck tow with a leveling kit? Will I need add-a-leafs or airbags in the rear?
The truck tows great with a leveling kit. I did add an add a leaf set cause the front was a little higher then the back. I got the Mickey Thompson Baja Mtz's 33/12.50/17 and I love them. I haven theard much about the Nitto or Toyo. Here is a pic of me towing with my leveling kit and add a leaf
I have an 04' SCAB with Terra Grapplers. I would highly recommend them, they are excellent tires. I've had mine on for 40k now and they have about 10k left of tread wear. They do well in wet conditions, and when I go home to South Padre Island, I hardly even have to go into 4x4 even in the softest of sand. (even while towing in sand(pulled a bunch of trucks out too))
Only downside is that you lose 10% turning due to rubbing on your lower control arm. You may have to clip your fender flares as well at the bottom for about 3 inches in the front.
