He wants to have more choices of kinds of wheels to put on his truck. There are a lot more styles & sizes to choose from with a 5x4.5 bolt pattern than with a 5x5.5.

Hey thanks, Boris! I just picked it up today so I'm still learning what I've actually got. It's fun!

I know some find it hard to believe but yes, I would like options other than truck wheels.

BorisPalance,
I put in an enquiry about what a set of adapters would cost and they are about $50 per corner and the company that I put the link in above does make the adapter that would work for your setup. This is all just for info, not telling what to do just giving options. It might be worth a call to find out how thin they can make them adapters for your setup. Hope you find the solution your looking for.

Maybe they don't allow links to non-sponsor companys, I'm not sure, but just do a google search for wheel adapters and you'll get several choices. They definitely make adapters to adapt the 5x5.5 to a 5x4.5 and JRB65 is right about the price. They are usually 1 to 1.5" thick so you have to allow for that when considering backspacing for you new rims.
