Ok guys, I finally got around to getting rid of the chatty K&N. The 6637 came in the other day and I picked up some 4" exhaust pipe. I made an airbox the other day after work, and got it painted and installed today, I was lucky and scored a piece of scrap Lexan that I put to use too. The only 2 ways for air to get into the air box is throught the side where the fender hole is, and from the zoodad mod in the front. Let me know what you all think, good bad and ugly. The only thing left, i've got to take the lexan lid back off and trim it some, but I was trying to hurry to get some pics for you guys before it got too dark.
Looks nice. I'm getting ready to do a 6637 myself and have been contemplating how to do an air box to keep down the noise in the cab.
When I got the truck it had a K&N FIPK intake on it with the L shaped sheetmetal guard. The bigger 6637 is quieter than the K&N was. I may see what difference it would make another day with the lexan lid off vs. on.
That looks good. I'd recommend a piece of screen over the zoodad to keep the big stuff out. What did you do with your other battery. The way the filter is angled and the position of the box doesn't look like it leaves room for the 2nd battery in the usual spot.

Here sometime in the next few weeks i'm going to make the piece that goes up to the zoodad out of metal instead of the stock plastic one, and when I do, I'm planning on taking some fine expanded metal from work and putting over the inlet, I just havent gotten that far yet.
And the other battery has been relocated to the tool box for now. I may end up later on going to a larger single battery, but I havent decided yet.
I'll get some measurements off yours here one day soon, you'll still be able to keep the batt in the same spot, and i've still got enough lexan left over for a lid for yours too.
I'll talk to you tomorrow a bit more on what I'd like to do. If you want to go with a big battery like you said I'll buy yours since they are fairly new.
I'm going to end up deleting the wash tank anyways and just tap into my water meth plumbing. And i'm thinking of putting the vac tank where the wash tank is now, and making a different mounting plate for a big single. I ought to have plenty of room
