part # 5C3Z-5310-CA, is this right? I havent gotten a reply to my messages from the parts man yet. You guys think I can get 1.5 inches lift from these? And keep my front end under control with the plow?
Thanks again

No, you will not get that much liftjust from springs. That is the right spring for your application, if you want lift you need the 2" leveling kit.

On my 05 and 08 350s i just lowered the rear instead of raising the front. mush easyer and cheaper then the leveling or raising the front. just buy the 250 rear blocks and u bolts and swap them out. The truck sets real level and is not so high in the rear. They are built for a 8 foot tall amazonian to start with. About 90 bucks from the local ford shop. Swap in about a hour with one jack and hand tools. Do one side at a time.

how do I tell what springs are on my truck from the factory?

I want about 3 to 3.5" of lift...can I put heavier front springs with a 2.5" leveling spacer to get that?

I have no expierence with 3 to 3.5" lifts. But I would think you would be better off with a suspension lift kit.
Your spring weight is on the inside of your door - whatever the front gvwr says.

His web site is here: Ford Parts and Motorcraft Parts at Discount Prices Ford Think Parts

However, you should PM him directly as FTE/PARTS-GUY and ask about the springs.

Also, check your door sticker for a spring code and post that.

Another thing, "heavy-service suspension" is usually just a single-level bump for the front springs, so they aren't the same as "snow plow prep". For the snow plow prep packages that we've discussed here at FTE, they are usually the highest rated spring available for the front end.

Is your truck a diesel?
Door sticker says front 4400#

I have the plow package on my truck with 6000 lbs springs. My truck sits level, without a leveling kit. When my truck came in, it had a big meyers on it, and I had the dealer take it off.

I thought about putting bigger blocks in the rear, and then a leveling kit up front. But with these springs, holding the front end up, I figured I would just leave it.

When I picked the plow up at the dealer to drive it, the front end didnt drop at all. I am sure that would change in time though.

But there a spring "code" that you need to get to figure out what you have now.

The GVWR of the front axle may or may not directly correlate to a spring code.

Yes the springs seem to sag over time as well... I'm sure the 6000 lbs coils did on my truck after a few months.

That would be on the upper end cause you could have the camper package. Without the camper package they are about 8800

I don't know if I have the camper package and it did not come with a brake controller, but the truck is a long bed crew cab maybe that is why the heavy suspension. It handles the weight well though, better than I expected from a 250. I put a winch bumper with a winch total between 3 to 4 hundred pounds on the front and it settled a little bit but not too much, and there is no difference in the handling or ride. I figured it was probably heavier springs than normal.
