Tailgate needed
I posted this in the 80-86 forum, I figure I put it here too. I have a shot out tailgate on an 85 f-250, 17 years of hard work and its shot now. I need info and advice, I've had no success in bone yards finding one in good enough shape to make sense out of a swap. The info I need is, I heard that replacement tailgates from like jc whitney and such are not quality, and weak, and aren't even molded with a ford emblem or any body stamping. I was also wondering if I could get a replacement tailgate direct from Ford for my model year? Please, this is kind of urgent for me, and any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
