tommoro im putting passenger side ball joints in my truck, seeing there about to fall out.My first question is i want to put a uz joint in that axle while i have the hub off,do you have to pull the front diff cover and take a c clip out to pull the axle or can you pull it right out like on a torsion arm front end?my second question is,can i put the sca aditive in the over flow bottle on the top of the radiater, and not have to worry about it not mixing with the rest of the anti freeze.thanks?
Yes the axle comes right out, no need to take cover off. If your doing ball joints do both sides if one side is bad the other is most likely also. Check your needle bearings while you have the unit bearing off also.

the other side is tight as of right now.im going to clean my auto lock hub when i do this because, when i have it on the free setting the axle still spins, while the side dosnt.
You should be able to pull the axle out once you've released or better said broken the seal the axle goes through inside the knuckle. Using a pry bar in between the u-joints will help do this.
Be careful pulling the whole axle out, and extra careful putting it back in so as to not damage the seal in the axle tube!
You should do both sides together.....in my humble opinion.
Thanks, Just means I spend waaaaaaay too much on the computer...
Funny thing is, I forget to bookmark stuff when I find it. I do try to get the important stuff especially when it is complex procedures. My memory is crap.
