What do you say?

So if the money was right, unlike Chuck Heston, you won’t have to pry it from my cold, dead hand (the truck that is).
Folks that said they would sell, you don't know me, I usually keep a vehicle till the wheels fall of and then put em back on and go some more
It's not just this truck, just the way I am. I seldom sell anything unless it really doesn't fit my needs. On the subject of asking the wife, she enjoys the truck as much as I do, even drives it to work occasionally. She's the one who sits with it at car shows and tells folks all about it. As long as she keeps fighting the big "C" and wants anything to do with the ol truck, it'll stay in the family.
Anyway, I sold it and almost got divorced since my Wife loves the F1s with the "proper" grille and she wasn't amused with the 67 Mustang Fastbacks I later built.
With this latest '49 there isn't any question this is a keeper. I've been married 36 years and this is what Momma wants for the Street Rod Truck. I can still build other stuff, but this one stays in the family......
A great number of members on here have posted comments about how their wife is to one degree or another opposed to their trucks. As for my wife, I think she would rather I didn't have the bug but she tolerates it. And I admit with eleven motor vehicles here she is doing well with the toleration. However, if I decided to sell everything she wouldn't get upset about it. I am hoping to change that as I have two main '53 projects now launching, I have acquired all I need in donors to get a good start. By the middle of this Summer most of the donors will have been canabalized and the parts I need stored away, From there on I will be only buying smaller, (and probably more expensive stuff). That will clean up all the stuff parked out back and hopefully make her a happier woman.
I have managed to get her interested and a involved to a degree. I put together a work room for her to try her hand at upholstery and trim work. She is into sewing pretty heavy,(five machines), and once about twenty some years ago she helped me with a car by doing some work on the seats and she made an entire headliner for it. It was a really professional looking job and it was her first attempt. I haven't come right out and said it because it's still too early in the project, but the concept picture in my signature is going to be for her. It would be perfect for a grocery getter and for going to the craft shows she likes. That is why my design concept for the vehicle and it's drive train are what I like to call chick friendly. I plan on my other '53 remaining as a pick up with 4WD and a bit of an attitude with a design flair toward the industrial look. Of course they will both have matching paint schemes that match my '03 F-350. In both cases I hope to have her doing the interiors.
If all above comes to pass, it means that there will still be seven licensed vehicles here and that doesn't count my enclosed trailer, the camper and two open trailers. So. if she can tolerate all that she will be at least nominated for saint hood. My goal is for her to be like your wife and demand that I not sell something. Hey, a guy can dream can't he???
Later...
