both will be loud, but the resonance at certain rpms from flowmasters drives me crazy
check youtube and see what you think
i have spintechs and love them--no resonance
Definately if you want cheap glasspacks. For a hotrod mustang now i only used flowmaster 40s and spintechs. For my ford truck i will use glasspacks. They all sound fine to me. Hard to beat a flowmaster 40 though
i think spintechs sound real similiar to flowmaster, buddy has them on a older 5.0 stang. i had them on a LT1 camaro and just wasnt the sound i was looking for, def a good muffler non the less. id say cherry bombs if you still got your cats, flows if catless. im running tru duals on mine, no cats and a pair of flowmaster single chamber race mufflers, bout to do headers, but as it sits with stock manifolds you hear me coming ,loL!
I like Flowmaster 40s. My Mustang has 40s. I have a single in dual out super 40 on my truck now because the old 40 series finally crapped out. It sounds deeper and better in my opinion now.
The Cherry Bomb Xtreme will sound good if you still have cats. If you don't have cats it will be obnoxious though. Then go with one of the other CB mufflers, if you want to try them.
If you still have both cats then just put a Y pipe off the second cat and run straight out with no muffler. Go 2 pipes 2.25 or 2.5 inch pipes and 3.5 inch tips. The cats muffle it alot. A friend of mine has his truck like that and it sounds fairly good and isn't really that loud at all.
You never stated if this is a single, true dual, or the lame 1 muffler - 2 tailpipe setup.
I just installed the Flowmaster Delta Force II kit with the 70 series muffler, Bassani Headers and Y pipe on my 302. You would probably not like it. It has a real nice tone to it but is super quite. Perfect for those long freeway trips.

Do you guys ever visit youtube. Theres a 95 150 with headers an straight pipes sounds wicked. Pops an crackles like crazy. Thats the the meanest sounding 150 off that style I have heard. Check out you tube. There are others too. Just a thought.
It all depends on what you like, I love the resonance of my Flowmaster Super 44s at about 1700-1900 RPMs under load. This is with a true-dual system thats just dumped right after the mufflers, w/stock manifolds
