Wiring harness to power window
I have a broken power window and I don't know how fix it. The passenger power window is getting voltage but its not able to complete the circuit (guessing)? Anyway, I think it the wiring harness. Here is why. My window was going up and down fine until a week ago. Now its stuck and won't work at all. I pulled the motor from the wiring harness, press the window button, and checked the voltage. It went from 0v to 12V so I figured it had to be the motor. When I plugged the new motor in the wring harness to tested it, it didn't work. Next, I checked the new and old motor on the driver side door and both work. I think it's a wiring harness problem. Any suggestions how I should go about fixing this problem is greatly appreciated.

Today I fixed my switches. You can break the switch down into it's components (easy to do, you'll figure it out when you look at them). The switch pulls out of the housing by hand to reveal 5 copper prongs. Then, remove the plastic back cap by prying it gently off of its 4 tabs using a thin spatula. Inside, you will see the copper contacts. Up is one contact, down is another, they are identical and opposite. You will notice that the depression of the switch engages two copper contacts, one makes a click which you can feel and hear. You would know if this were malfunctioning. The other is more subtle, and occurs directly under a small plastic cam. The copper electrode needed to be bent EVER SO SLIGHTLY to restore switch function. It's easy, you'll see. Just dont bend the copper too much.
