Tank float assembly

can anyone tell me or preferably show me how the tank float assembly hooks back on. Mine came off and i'm not sure where it goes back on. Is it through a metal hole? or under a plastic clip? HELPPPPP

If you scroll down past the procedure there are some pictures that have the float unit in it. They aren't the greatest (since it's for the in-tank mod) but hopefully it can give you an idea of how it is attached.

Did the rod come off the rheostat part of the sender? See figure 10 from Brian's link.
