Has anyone ever install one of these of a bronco? I have heard that they are know wobble at highway speeds is this true? What does it do with the wind flow? Is istilling them preatty strait forward?
thank you
I had one on my '79 Bronco, and had no problems at any speed. There are openings so air will go between it and the roof. Installing was not a problem, but two people does help.
For the f350 it will void your warenty on your body coverage if you drill holes... at least thats what they (Ford Dealer) told me on my 2000
2000 F150 Extended Cab 4x4 Sport all Black
Head light covers
Tail light covers
"Ford MotorSports" sticker in rear window

I just purchased a 1989 F350 Crew Cab with one, and, drove it back over Snokalamie pass, for a total of 180 miles during high wind, and did not enjoy the sound at all..... I don't really care for the looks either.... I don't know if I will remove or not, as.... it does have sun blocking qualities.... I think it is sort of a "city slicker" addition to the truck, though....
I know this original post is a little old, but I have a Lund moonvisor on my 95 Bronco, and this past weekend I got up to about 90mph on the highway and it tore one of the screws out of roof right where it attaches in the middle above the windshield. I guess they come with self tapping screws, so should I pick up a larger size self tapping screw to bolt it back on or just get one the original size? It seems like it's going to tear completely off if I leave it like that and I really don't want to have to remove it. Thanks.
i had one on my '88 ranger that i owned from '91 to '96. had no problems and i ran an old flat-blade style bugsheild. looks great, wouldnt mind having another one. i used silkaflex adhesive on the screws going into the roof. (a marine-grade caulking) the truck is still on the road and visor is still there.
a buddy of mine has one on his 75', with the bugshield, the only drawback we've noticed is that at any speed over 5 mph, you cannot use the windshield washers...
all you do is wash the hood....
I have one on my little Ranger. Its the Moon with the flush mount lights and only mounts on the sides under the door jam. Works great and I have never detected any movement or problems. When I first had it installed it kept shorting out and found out that the installer had bunched the wires up and they were pinched. After I had that corrected have had no problems. Looks good too.
I think that you can see it in the gallery.

Get a body man to weld the hole shut and pre-drill a new hole. I had a body shop tell me they would weld a bracket in to bolt up to so the visor will never move.
