do your turn signals and parking lights work at the back of the truck, if not it could be a ground issue since they both use the same ground if the parking lights work but the turn and brake lights don't then you could have a turn signal problem since the brake lights go through the turn signal switch first before they go to the back of the truck, if the turn signals work and the brake lights don't, then check the brake pedal switch again

mine did that none of the lights in the rear didnt work after a couple days i found 2 bad fusible links and 2 blown fuses and 1 bad ground
All the lights work in the back except the Brakelights. Bought a new switch, made no difference. Will check positive and ground wires again. All suggestions appreciated.

on mine it did the same after i fixed the fusible links and repaced the fuses, it fixed the tail lights except the brakes. so i tested the + on the brake switch had power but they still didnt work. what i ended up doing was running a new wire to the hot side of the switch and it took care of it.
I never had to go back any further in the system that the brake switch on the pedal that is the first thing in the brake light circuit. check for positive 12 volt on one of the brake switch wires then check your fuse, dont forget to check your test light on your battery first ( yeah ask me how I know )
