Lug nut torque spec

What is the torque spec on the lug nuts? I'm doing brakes tomorrow and don't want a wheel flying off.

150 to 165 ft lbs , IIRC.

Why would you need a 3/4 impact (torque wrench)?
I have a 1/2 inch torque wrench that goes to 250 ft lbs and my 1/2 inch impact removes them just fine.

No, you need a quality 1/2 inch torque wrench, and the appropriate socket and extension.

The snap-on that i've been using doesn't have the torque that it use to.
