Okay so I have been having a hard time finding a new replacement molding for my truck. I am looking for the trim molding that goes on the drivers side fender. The trim is the unique narrow style used only on "custom" model trucks. It has no black rubber in the center like the others do. So far I just can't seem to find it. If someone has a source new or used let me know!
I know what you are talking about, I have looked for that trim to. I have a few junkyards here that does have some trucks in them with some trim. I will check them out when I go and see what I can come up with.
Was just looking at it yesterday and was bummed that my replacement
driver's side finder has chrome on it and so has stinkin holes to go with it! :/
I'd like to give away or sell most of that F100 rather than taking it to the
scrap yard, but shipping has gone crazy. I remember me and my buddies
buying VW dune buggy parts from California because shipping was about
4% and tax was 6%.
If it's like mine (see gallery), it has small plastic clips behind it that attach to a rivet-like post in the body panel every few inches. I just carefully used a small screw driver under the bottom of the trim, and pryed up, popping it off of the plastic clips. Came off no problem and no damage. The clips can also be replaced if need be.
That trim was also used on the Ranger body style. If it is like the other style there is a nut at each end on the inside of the fender that needs to come off to remove the body clip.

Correct, I forgot about the small acorn nuts on each end of the trim.
