Syn gear oil weights
97 Ford 250 SuperCab SuperDuty 7.3 diesel 4x4 AutoTrans.
121000 miles. Non limited slip.
I want to change the gear oil in the rear/front differentials and replace with SYN oil, such as Mobil 1 or RoyalPurple.
Can't seem to find the correct gear oil weight to use. My owners manual lists the capacity but not the weight lube.
I believe it is a DANA axle but not positive.
A search was done here but no hits for "gear oil" "gear lube" "axle lube" with no results.
On edit: I found what I was looking for at Amsoil.
