2003 explorer 2WD

Cruise control does not work. Indicator light comes on in dash and will go off if you tap the brake pedal or slow to 30MPH. Brake pressure switch checks out okay. The VSS must be working or the light wouldn't turn off at 30MPH. Need to know how to test the servo, if that is the problem.
Any idea?

Wink cruise control won't engage

Got a copy of the TSB which decribes entering the self-test mode. It would not start the test. I had previously checked voltage output from the crusie control deactivator switch and it was okay. Decided to check resistance and found ~ 185 ohms. The same switch on my 200 Ranger read ~ 1 ohm. A paper clip jumper on the harness allowed the cruise control to engage again. A new $15.00 switch will replace the paper clip. Tks.
