The 4WD is not engaging. I have the hubs on manual and the dash light is coming on. I can turn the axles by hand when in automatic and the switch in 2WD. When I turn the hubs to Lock, I can't turn the axles. When I put the switch to 4x4, I hear a slight clunk, the indicator light comes on, but no 4WD.
I had it to a shop yesterday, they said the transfer case was engaging but the hubs weren't engaging. I asked if they put the hubs to manual, but they didn't know. Naturally the guy who did the testing wasn't there. They also said the body control module didn't have ground? And that there is no vacuum at the hubs. They recommended I take it to the dealer. Obviously I'm disappointed in this shop.
So, what is a body control module?
Other thoughts?
Lock the hubs in manually, put t-case in 4x4. Get under the truck and see if you can rotate either the axle shafts at the wheels, or the drive shaft coming out of the t-case. You shouldn't be able to turn either.
I pulled the hubs yesterday. Reworked the right side. Left side the nylon spline was broken. I replaced the left hub today. Locking the hubs manually I have 4x4. Yahoo!!
Now I have to trace the vacuum leak. My heating system works fine, but I have the V10. I thought I saw somewhere that the vacuum default to defrost was only on the diesels. Anyway, I'm going to wait for warmer weather to trace the vacuum, I think. Guess what, it's snowing here again. We have over 200" so far this winter. The spring snows are the bad ones here.
They didn't charge me anything. My problem is that the EX doesn't fit in my garage and it's fricken cold and lots of snow on the ground. I just wanted it fixed, but I'm not going to let a dealer touch it. Pulling the hubs would've found the broken one. Piece of cake to do in a warm shop. It was 12 degrees yesterday and 20 today with 20 mph winds and over 5" of snow falling. It SUCKS working on a truck outside in this ****. I got it together this evening, though I guess I have a vacuum leak somewhere. You should of seen me changing plugs and COPS in December. Where the hell is that global warming???

Here is a link for a vacuum test, post # 15. Good luck.
I think that the default to defrost is on the gassers also, and if your system is not defaulting, it could mean a blocked hose, not a broken hose.
