73 or 74 gauge cluster

I found an ad for a '74 F100 gauge cluster on this site - but I have '73 F100. Are they the same?

I think so. I don't have a book but I think you are good if both clusters have the same gauge set ups. I am thinking the back housing changed along with the circuit board and speedometer in 1975 or 1976? Some one else help out here.

Both are the same assuming the '74 didn't have the dreaded LOW FUEL ECONOMY light on the right.

Mikestruck is correct, both clusters must have the same gauges. Idiot lights / gauges are completely different.

I wouldn't mind having the low fuel economy light. Would be funny to see it on ALL the time

No, you wouldn't want the LFE light. I have one in my 1975, and it's about as annoying as a light can be. Especially at night - it'll just about blind you. It's amazing that after 34 years it still works - I expect it'll outlast the truck.

Cool, I've had mine 34 years this month.
I pulled that light bulb out of mine within the first couple months! :)
Later came the wiring and sensor and all.
I don't even remember where the vacuum sensor was. :)
