I have been looking around at what is available in the way of dash Heater Vents and I am not keen on the large square section plastic looking vents and I really dont want to have to add a dash extension unless really necessary. I was thinking of adding some small vents to the upper ridge of the dash but I could only get 3 of them to look neat as I want to keep the Glove box. I made a mock up using some paper cutouts as you can see here. Was just wondering what others thought and if you can think of a reason not to do this? Or even better does anyone know of some really slim vents that I could use to get all 4 of them across the dash even above the glove box too? The paper cutouts are scale copies of some standard billet aluminum ones available.
DUDE!!!!!!!!!! Those look GREAT!!!!!!!!! I've been looking for something to do for mine for years and have just stuck some under the dash. Do you mind if I "borrow" your idea? I hope not, cause I LOVE the way you did that man, thats way cool!!!

Yep, looks good, no reason why you can’t, other then why? Are you using an aftermarket A/C with dash vent heat/cool availability? If no A/C then you will have to either tee the defroster or floor heat hoses? The hose routing will be a pain or maybe install them non-functionally.
Thanks guys,
I dont actually have the vents yet so will continue to look to see if there is anything more suitable but I think I will probably go with the placement as shown.

Yes I did think of that Randy, I just can't find a spot that it looks like its meant to be there. One other issue (That could be sorted) is that the curved section is double thickness so I would need to cut it in a pretty fancy way to enable the heater hose attachment.

Of course not Truxx, isnt the point of being part of a community such as FTE to share ideas. I value the feedback of similar like minded enthusiasts and I am sure get more back than I put in.

Thanks Old F1, yes I am using an aftermarket underdash combined heat and cool unit. The hose routing might be an issue although the hose that I have seen is super flexible and very lightweight so I am hoping that it will litterally be a case of simply pulling it to place and then tying it up out of the way. I was considering 1 non functioning vent if I had to put it in an orkward location, but will probably do all I can to make sure that they are all functional (Or only go with the 3) I can possibly have the 4th going to a remote heat dump on the passenger side. in other words a hidden under dash vent.
