Has any one installed the Power Trax Lock-right differential unit? I'm thinking of buying one to help my '68 Longbed F-100 through the Nebraska winters. Any info is much appreciated!
I was looking at those too. They look pretty impressive. If they are as they claim to be. A posi-trac without the ratcheting and noise.
There are some other types worth checking out at http://www.drivetrain.com Let me know what you think. I'm interested too. This one wheel spinning all the time is for the birds.

I have installed them in the small dana rear ends it was a snap took about an hour and they will go when nothing eles will go. There is no need to pull anything but the spider and side gears if it is an open rear end if the existing rear is a posi then it gets more complicated. I think they are great and ours has been in over a year with no issues.
Hey WTroger,
Do they make less noise than conventional LS or lockers? Some posi-tracks make ratcheting noises when backing up etc. The lock-right is supposed to not make so much noise or ratcheting. What's your experience? Thanks so much

Hasn't been too bad a winter to fight this year, though has it? I missed out on NE winter last year, was driving around the country on a semi. Where in NE do you live, Billbain? I'm in Lincoln.
Your right, where is winter anyway? 60 degrees this weekend, crazy. I live in Plattsmouth and drive a semi to North Platte every night. I can't say I miss the slick roads, but like a good snow fall now and then.
The drive to North Platte is much nicer with the scales torn out, isn't it? If only it would last... I was with Werner but came home to watch my kids grow up. Seems like I've driven a little bit of everything this past year: dump truck with a pup trailer hauling rock and gravel, Volvo day cab with double bottom grain trailer, International cab-over pulling double grain trailers. All temp or seasonal jobs, no benefits. Right now I'm driving a tandem axle straight truck delivering farm chemicals. Full time, year round, and BENEFITS!! Plus I get to see my kids. Someday in the future I'll go back on the road!
Keep the flat side on the bottom, the bugs off your glass and the bears off your... tail!
