Has anyone purchased a headliner from JCW, I am looking at the ABS headliner with the built in speakers and a place for a CD player. This headliner sells for about $200.00 and I would like to get a few opinions on the quality of the product. I have never bought from them but thought to give them a try, thanks in advance.

I dont know what kind of cd player would fit in that gap but a cb fits perfectly. BTW it comes black, unless your interior is black plan on painting. The speakers come w/ it but you have to buy the tweeters, I forgot what size they are.

DFB 2004, thanks for the information, glad to hear it is a good product. I will be ordering one for my 71 F-100 4x4 this week, did you put any heat -sound insulation behind your headliner ? Without a headliner my cab is really noisy when it rains and hotter than howl in the summer. Thanks for all the replys, can't get this kind of help anywhere else!

Greenfordguy, I just installed the JCW headliner and I really like it . The quality is excellent as well as the fit, I insulated the headliner with JCW insulation,it worked great. The only thing I had to modify were 4 screws at the rear of the headliner had to be cut short as they would have gone thru to the outside .The 4 speakers are good but could be better, I am keeping the woffers in the doors anyway. The whole thing looks really professional and looks like it belongs.

That's good enough for me. I just got done ordering mine, I'll watch out for the 4 screws in the rear. I've been thinking I'll probably just scrap the included speakers and go with a real nice a-market set-up with the subs in the doors. I don't know what the J.C. Whitless guy ordered, but anything a-market is only going to be as good as the installation. keep on truckin' bro.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 10-Dec-01 AT 11:04 AM (EST)]Nod and DFB2004,
I've been looking at the same headliner for my 78 F150. I have a couple of questions for you.
Where does the CD Player / CB / Radio (what ever you decide to put in there) get it's power from. Do you have to run wires up there some how? Do you somehow tie into the dome light power? Does the headliner have a dome light installed or does it not cover the existing dome light?
Thanks for the info. I hope I'll be able to order mine in the next week or so.

Chad, the headliner does not cover the domelite. I ran my speaker wires and power wires down thru the body pillar between the windshield and the passenger door window, there is a space inside to run the wiring and antannea.I used a solid length of 12 gague electrical wire to fish thru the space, then I tied all the wires I wanted up thru the pillar to the solid wire with electrical tape. Take your time as you dont want to slice open any of the wires on a sharp edge. Make sure to set up the fuse for the CB or radio underneath the dash so you can get at it easily! Good Luck and enjoy.
