Real or not
I,m looking to buy a F250 with the 6.0 diesel that I would like to pull 21" travel trailer with. After doing a little research I've read that the 03 and 04 might have some injector and head issues. Are these real or isolated problems.

They are hit or miss. Some engines were good and others were not so good. I have an '03 that had issues early in life, but they haven't been as bad later in life. There are also some later model 6.0s that have issues, as well. Our ambulance is and '06 and it has issues. Although, maintenance and how you treat it is a major factor. Make sure you get an Oasis before you buy something. Good luck.

Its the repair history of a vehicle during it's warranty period. In your case, it's first 5 years or 100,000 miles.

Listen to the genius's and get a oasis report. Post it here if you don't understand it. <3 my early 03, but like stated before it's hit or miss.

Like everyone else has said get an OASIS report and do a little homework. My '03 has been an awesome machine since day one, brother-in-law not so lucky. But rest assured the 6.0l will beat the pants off a 7.3 anyday! Good luck!

Issues can be had throughout the 6.0 run, techs have smartened up and instead of just fixing the problem at hand and calling it fixed, have started to locate and fix the cause of the problem, lots of multiple head gasket problems were caused by reuse of warped heads, and the turbos causing the problems but not being replaced or cleaned. Although I do believe they no longer just clean them if under warranty
