I am replacing the glow plugs on my 1994 f-350 turbo. Can anyone give me the correct P/N for these plugs? I see reference to zd-9,zd-11 etc. Thanks in advance for your help.
Motorcraft ZD-9's are OEM plugs and are the only thing you should even think about putting back in it. Take it from the guy who burned up a set of Autolights in 10 days and a set of champions in a day.
FYI Motorcrafts glowplugs are also referred to as Beru's
Oops, you got me Dave, I forgot the 94 also could have the Powerstroke
Thats actually one of my favorite ways to pass time at the big part stores is to ask for injectors for a 94 7.3 diesel. 3 different 7.3 motgines with 3 different injectors makes for a very confused partsmen

Desert Sled, your 94 is an IDI correct?
I think it is. I remember a thread about him wanting to swap to a PSD a couple months back.
The only other plugs, other than BERU, I would put my name toward are Bosch Plugs that are made in Germany. I just replaced my Bosch Plugs in my 93' F250 after 125k. They all still worked, I just replaced them as I was replacing the injection pump and injectors anyways.
Make sure the Bosch Plugs say right on the plugs: "Made in Germany" so, there are Bosch imitators out there that are just as bad as the Autolites, Champions, Lucas, and whatever other names you can think off.
It would seem the only folks that know how to make glow plugs that last are the Italians and the Germans. No suprise here seeing how Volkswagen Diesels have been using glow plugs for over half a century.
I dunno whether its true or not, but the hotrodder who owns the small partstore I get my parts from claims that the German's know how to build GP's so well is because of what they learned in the defeat they suffered because of the extreme cold in Siberia
I bought a set of Bosch plugs on e-bay (yes they said bosch on them) and they never even heated up once. I learned my lesson and will never buy nothing but motorcraft again.

I wouldn't judge your experience based off of buying from ebay. Who's to say they didn't sell you factory rejects. Lots of shady business going on with ebay. Definetely buyer beware.
