I have a 06 F-350 and I'm trying to eliminate a injector problem I keep having. Everytime I chip the truck it always ends up messing up 1 or 2 injectors. I'm on my 3rd different program in 2 years. I was told SCT was the way to go but I can feel the truck jerk every now and then like the injector is about to go. My question is would it be wise to go to a stage 2 injector or is that more for the motors that have alot done to it? I have the APR stud kit with the egr blocker plate just havent insalled it yet. Other than that all I have is the SCT tuner and exhaust which is installed. Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
Fuel pump could be bad or it could be dead-heading. Do you remember what injector numbers they were(1,2,3...8)?
If it's dead-heading, then you can solve that with an RR kit. You won't need a FASS/Airdog system til you go up in injectors unless you just want to pave the way for bigger mods right away.
All 3 times it's been the #2 and if I remember correctly 1 time it was the #4 and the other was the #5 but the first time it was just the #2. What's a RR kit? lol
Sure don't. The SCT tuner has a monitor and it has all kinds of different things you can watch but thats about it.
Does it pick up any codes? It won't pick up manufactor specific codes, but if there is a generic one in there that isn't tripping the CEL it might pick it up, give us something to go on anyway(if there is something there).
RR is a return regulated fuel kit. Basically the stock setup pushes fuel down the fuel rail from the front of the motor to the back. There is no return at the back so sometimes the back injectors can starve for fuel.

I switched the tuner to the diagnostic side of it and it doesnt pick up anything. I don't know if this helps but it's much worse when it's cold than when it's warmed up.

Doesn't that happen when it's really cold? last time we had some really cold weather was back in December and this didnt start happening till just 2 or 3 weeks ago.

Fuel gelling yes that would need very cold weather, FICM not so much. 30s or 40s would get that little dodad. It might have been stressed bad in December and just now decided to crap out.
You have injector problems, so it's either going to be the control module, fuel(or related fuel issues: dead-heading, bad fuel etc), or the power programmer that you have on there or a combination of all those.
Do you get all your fuel at the same spot or do you switch it around? Does it have issues with having bad fuel or does it have a high turnover?
Does it only happen with the SCT on there or does it do it every time?
