transmission swap
i have a 82 F150 with a 300 6. i had to replace the transmission so i bought a used one from a friend who blew his motor now his was a v-6 from early 80's and the tranny was identical. now i installed the tranny but it seems the top starter bolt is noy tightening up and possibly needs a larger bolt for this tranny. i got it somewhat tight and when i turn it over all i get is a click. anythng that would help would be greatly appreciated thanks

possible different diamater flywheels, is the starter going all the way in the hole and sitting flush? If its just the bolt not fitting the hole like you said it should still start with just 2 bolts
