Does my E4OD need to be rebuilt?
During normal driving its fine, but under WOT it shifts really hard. And when my parents had it while I was stationed in Japan, they said sometimes the O/D would not work at all. But other times it would. But this hasnt happened to me at all since I got it back last October.
Any clues onto what this is?
The truck has 246K miles. I think it was serviced in 2002-2003ish

There is a (I think) overdrive ring or something like that breaks. You problem brings back those memories. Most likely time for a rebuild. I'll try to locate the correct nomenclature and repost.
