F150 Discounts

Just drove by the local Ford Dealer here in SW VA and noticed that the Lariat trucks are discounted $8,000-$9,000! These trucks are completely loaded (chrome package, 20s, GPS) with an MSRP of around 45,000-47,000. The lowest priced one is at 38k and change. Just thought you would like to know that the dealer is already marking these trucks down.

Dealerships in Ohio are taking that much off up hear as well. For an XLT with chrome pkg. Sticker was 36k, with discounts it came to 28k. Simply awesome.

It's great they're offering the prices they are. But I haven't seen 1-8' box yet.

I'm beginning to wonder if Ford even builds a real truck anymore. Lotta Screw, 5.5's and 6.5's. commuter type trucks

In Maryland both the southern and northeast areas, the dealers are dealing. My truck had a list of $35,800 but would have been sold for $29,600 for cash deal but I had a trade. My son bought a fancy Lariat and got about $10K off the sticker. I think they built too many fancy trucks and need to get rid of them. The middle income family man who wants a truck but has to haul the family has been hurt the worst in these times and I think they were the main buyers. My truck came from a NY dealership, it was the closest to MD that had 99% of what I wanted. They went and got it at no extra costs to me. We, the buyers are in the driver's seat with deals this time. Anyone else notice the delivery charges have skyrocketed?
A grand to get a Truck 600 Miles?

Heck, I could drive to Detroit, and back for under $300.

Did the rebates go down anywhere else? I just checked tonight and they are down to
2K here. I am going to order my truck in the morning so I will see what they say, hopefully they will go up a bit before my truck comes in.

When I purchased my truck, there was no mention of any rebates till paperwork signing with a statement to Ford that I allowed the dealer to keep the money. I didn't care because the rebate was already figured into the deal, stated or not. Plus the local dealership has got to make some money on the deal or they will not be there for warranty work. We have had two Ford dealers close in my area in the last 6 months, we need a couple around or we will never get any deals (the only game in town syndrome). Chris.
