hi, found this site a few weeks ago looking wiring info for my truck; 65 f100 custom cab, styleside longbed, 352-auto, fully optioned out. found on the side of the road in middle ga, had spent its life in texas. 2nd owner moved to ga and had nowhere to keep it. brought it to nc and decided to have her painted, paint was faded and tired but zero rust or dents...should be simple and cheap! next thing i knew, the frame was sitting on stands in my parking lot and the body was sent in pieces to a friend of mines body shop for stripping and painting (original 2 tone red and white) and decided to service and reseal trans as well as freshen engine (new pistons, crane cam, edelbrock intake and carb, ceramic headers, etc). wow...3 years later and it is back together with everything working! still needs exhaust, some emblems and a little upholstery work, but should be driving her in a week or so. looking a donor truck for pwr brakes and steering but can hold out for the right one as the steering and brakes are working as well as they did in 65. will send pics soon if anyone is interested

I think carolina classics sells new trim ($600 or so). They may also carry bumpers. Have not got that far on my project so I have not been looking too hard.

Just to jump on board as well; and say "Welcome", I purchase my body side molding acouple years ago, from Carolina classic's; for a swb 65, also if looking for a rear bumper, if you need the mounting brackets check with the Truck Shop out of Orange County CA. They seem to be the only ones with them in the catalogs. Also as Gangster mention need a true 65 grille? He has one real sharp and price below repop 66 style.
Again welcome and glad to have another truck enthusiasts on board.

Mitch

Welcome to FTE

carolina-classics.com ~ located in Durham NC ~ 800-598-4211 / Catalog, page 70 / 1965/66 reproduction Side Moulding Kit (includes hardware): $627.00.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Styleside pickup (only) chrome rear bumper is hard to find, as are the correct brackets.

All the rear bumpers were an option, none came with any package.

The chrome rear bumper and brackets are the same: 1964/72 Stylesides.

The same chrome bumper (but not the same brackets) was used on 1973/77 F250 Styleside 4WD's and some 1973/79 Styleside F350's.

There was a painted version of this bumper offered 1964/72.

EDIT: The Truck Shop (truckandcarshop.com) located in the City of Orange CA ~ 800-243-8947, lists the following in their catalog on page 14:

#64-11564 Rear Chrome Bumper / Styleside / 1964/72: $154.00

#64-11608 Rear Bumper Bracket Set / Styleside / 1964/72: $84.00.

(Thanks Mitch, I should have thought of this place, which is 12 miles away from me. I have their catalog, and both myself and camperspecial65 have been there).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The two 1965 grilles (painted and anodized aluminum) are almost impossible to find used in decent condition.

The grilles are not reproduced, and finding a new original (C5TZ-8200-A painted or C5TZ-8200-B Aluminum) is impossible. No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.

To make matters worse, the grilles were no longer available from Ford after August 1965.

When the 1966's were introduced, Ford obsoleted the 1965 grilles, replaced them with the 1966 grilles for use as service part replacements.

Service parts: Sold at the dealers parts counter.

It took me three years of looking, advertising and asking everyone I knew...or not, to come up with a brand new 1965 aluminum grille, and this was back in the early 1980's!

A parts scrounger pal of mine found one in the garage of an Arkansas funeral home (!) in 1984.

Like to join in and welcome you to the family of Ford Truck Enthusiast, Welcome to FTE! Post pic's when you can, share any experiences with your project, and don't hesitate to post questions. Also suggest browse the 'articles/specs' forum, and any other's that strick your fancy. Purchased quite a number of parts off ebay, just need to use caution, some ebayers are not quite sure what they are selling when it comes to vintage Ford parts. Again, welcome.

Just to be clear. It is NOT NEW, it is a used aluminum grill that has been highly polished and has not been mounted since polishing.
The grill is as with others are used, unless stated that it is NOS this one is used.

Because FTE members are scattered all across the US, Canada, worldwide, there is no all members GTG.

Local FTE Chapters have GTG's. You might consider joining the FTE NC Chapter.

While not FTE sponsored, Knoxville TN is the site of the F100 Super Nationals Truck Show (May), there are also events in the Pigeon Forge area.
