Prep 6.0 engine for storage - 1+ year
Question from a co-worker:
Call back to duty (again) starting April. Will have truck in garge, on jack. Looking for suggestion on what is best for the motor. Would rather not have anyone commit to running truck every month due to inconsistency.

I would suggest changing the oil to be sure there are no impurities left in there eating at it. Probably best to fill the tank. D/C the batteries and if available put them on a trickle charger. Other then that it should be fine.

If it is the same stuff from what i remember is just Penetrating Oil. Is that correct?
Just googled and came up with 'PB Blaster' Seems like the same stuff.

Since you are in Alaska I would run the tank as low as you can and double or triple dose what is left with anti-gell additive. With the plastic tank you won't have rust or codensation problems there.

dito, i would definately put on a battey tender, they are absolutely worth the cost kind of like preventive maintenance.
