Cleaning throttle body

Cleaning throttle body
I am going to be throwing my K&N CAI on in a couple days and with this kit you have to remove and reposition the throttle body. Since I have 90K on this 250 I wonder if it would be a good idea to clean the throttle body while it's off. Beings I haven't done it before what would be the normal procedure on cleaning it, just doush it down with carb cleaner?

That is kind of surprising that you would have to remove the throttle body. There should be some way to finagle it in there without removing it...maybe not
but i guess if you have to then by all means clean it. I would go with carb cleaner/brake cleaner, whichever is cheaper at the store, and a clean rag to get any caked on deposits.
