Hello all. Here is my problem. 2004 f250 6.0..When i put the truck in drive and go to take off it feels like the rear wheels dont catch right away. About a second later the trucks catchs slightlyand goes fine. Does not matter how I start off ut its not as bad if I am rolling and then accelerate. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
not a clue but mine does the same thang and has been doing it for long time. I had the rear end rebuilt. To be honest I thank it is the transmision. Mine is 03 6.0 4x4 140,000 k maybe sombody out there knows the problem sorry

Mines an 04 with 135k...I change the tranny regularly and never found any metal..Wondeing if its the slip yoke that needs grease. i read a thread on hear about that...
sure it's not a solenoid in the tranny? There is play in the rear end but not a full second worth of play. The solenoids in the tranny have been know to go bad. I had one replaced in mine. Then my tranny went bad shortly after that.
