Rear end trouble???

Hello all. Here is my problem. 2004 f250 6.0..When i put the truck in drive and go to take off it feels like the rear wheels dont catch right away. About a second later the trucks catchs slightlyand goes fine. Does not matter how I start off ut its not as bad if I am rolling and then accelerate. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

sure it's not a solenoid in the tranny? There is play in the rear end but not a full second worth of play. The solenoids in the tranny have been know to go bad. I had one replaced in mine. Then my tranny went bad shortly after that.
