351w updates. What do I need?
I got the engine in the shop and its going to need some work. I decided to keep with the automatic, since I already have it and I can turn it. The engine is stuck schmuk and will likely need a rebuild, and to my knowledge hasn't been bored yet. It also had some nasty looking antifreeze in it, but it still smelled like antifreeze so I hope I have no cracks. Of course it has all the ugly crap piled on it. But luck would have it that it has some good mounts for possible addons, like an air-compresser.
But, I am going to get a new intake manifold+carb, probably from edelbrock and what I was wondering is if these aftermarket intakes have stuff setup for vacuum. My transmission, so my dad says, requires vacuum in order to shift. And from what I see, that vacuum is supplied by my intake manifold. If I buy a new intake manifold, will I lose my vacuum supply? Do I need an EGR valve?
