351w huge vacuum problems

I have an 89 f250 with a 351w and 5 speed manual transfer in it. It needed an intake manifold so I decided to get an edelbrock intake for it. My father works at one of those trade schools u go to in high school and he asked the automotive class if they wanted to do all the work as a class project. So they took it on. But they forgot to mention the intake summit sent was non egr. They hacked up the entire smog setup and most of the vacuum. Now it runs like complete crap and when the clutch is not pressed in it sounds like almost a horrible engine knock. But when u press the clutch in that noise goes completely away. There's not a single vacuum line hooked up any more on the throttle body. They cut the big hoses off the smog pump so those 2 are wide open. And there looks like there are a few sensors or something missing on the same plate the ignition coil is. There's I believe 2 plugs next to the coil closer to the motor that are just laying there. The coffee can and other plastic tank on passenger inner fender is gone too. I need some major help on where to go with all this

Does this have to pass emission testing?

if so your going to have to pretty much replace everything they removed.

If not start plugging stuff off.

You will need to find a Vac. diagram and start replacing / hooking up lines. There should be one on the air cleaner box or in a good repair booklet.

There has been a bunch of write ups on removing the AIR system so if you dont need that stuff start researching the old posts. You will find all you need to remove and cap the system.

IF you do need to replace it all I think there has been a few posts on that but let me know and I'll see if I can get some shots off my spare 351W in the barn as I think most of the air system is still there.

no it dosent need to pass emissions.ill do some more searching.thanks

IF they pulled the EGR what did they do with the tube coming off the manifold?

You should be able to remove all the AIR tubes, hoses, and pump then. Summit sells a bypass pulley that bolts in place of the air pump.

You will still need some Vac. lines and a vac can of some sorts. Brake booster, MAP, vac to feed heat and ac controls, Ect.

hey semper pictures would be great.what do i look up on summit for the bypass pulley cause i can only find ac bypass pulleys

i decided im gonna take the air pump out.which gatorback belt is the right one?4060935 or 4060915?

I am going to shoot video and post it on youtube. That will give you a.more complete view of all of the components. I will be at the truck in about 3 hrs. Let me know if you need anything specific....but I will try to include all of the.emissions related equipment.

the stuff i really need is the vacum on the intake manifold and the ones on the throttle body.anything else would be real helpful too
