ok its a 96 f150 body but its 91 f350 for everything else. i used the 96 wiring and gauges so the are the same as the 94s and that body style. when im driving and hit a bump my radio shuts off and comes back on, at the same time the amp gauge goes nuts. the heater also loses power and come right back on. sometimes my lights flicker but not always. I have chaek all the grounds on under the hood and under the truck. the all were tight and clean. i checked the radio harness, and the harnes to the cluster and all wires are tight andall conections were tight and no bare wires. anyone had this problem before? Its driving me insain!
thanks guys
Sounds like a main power harness, especially if it affects the blower and the amp gauge actually feels it. Do you have an automatic trans, and if so have you noticed it acting funny when the short occurs?
there is a panel/ fuse boxe behind the drivers side battery. all the wires coming out of it have been removed from the fuse box except for the lights, and the green power with that turns on the injector pump. all the others were all sensors for the 4.9 engine the cab was for origenally. i run mechanical guages execpt for speedo, and amp gauge. the alt and stuff still runs into o solenoid on the pass side fender, same as the older trucks.
i figured id let ya guys no i got it fixed finally. it was driving me crazy, then i thought about it if only the accories where cutting out and not the motor then the only thing they share are a body ground. so i ran a ground from each battery to the body and it solved everything. thanks for the help guys
