reverse light switch

Recently my backup lights have started flickering when I am backing up. And it is very annoying not being able to see in my tiny apartment parking lot. What I am wondering is if there is a switch in the Trans or it somewhere else? And how much are they and how hard are they to do?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>

if you have a zf 5 the switch is located on the left side of the trans
it could just be a loose plug on the switch also

You can actually see something with those factory backup lights? To me they are just indicators for other drivers or pedestrians that in a few seconds the massive rear bumper may be a bit too close for their comfort. I have a pair of flood lights up behind the cab, they run both off the transmission switch and a manual switch on the dash - they do a great job of lighting up the surroundings, and I'm upgrading to 100W bulbs too whenever I decided to spend the extra $15...

Mine seem to light things up pretty good...I have seen others that don't do squat. I can defiantly tell the difference when there is none.
