Has anyone ever used mater/meth system on their 6.0psd? I have a StgII snow performance kit sittin in my closet and i'm waitin for my afe bladerunner to come in to install it. As it is right now i am not running a programmer, had a bully dog and sold it, blew gaskets twice so im gonna try a different brand, probably SCT. Has anyone tried this or know anyone that has?
Did you have the studs on the second set of gaskets.Because I've been thinking of a tuner also i've looked at all of them bully,super chip,sct,ect.Probably gonna go with SCT also.
yup studs and fire-ringed heads and egr delete, but of course i added studs after the first time the gaskets failed and it happened again so thats when i decide to get the heads o-ringed
Propane will increase exhaust temp while water/methanol will decrease it. I have both on my 7.3, and the propane I use to increase fuel economy while the water/meth is for when I'm towing or at wide open throttle.
so you like it then? i was gonna run it by itself, add a programmer in the spring. i dont like the extra power in winter. makes snowy driving rather tricky. and well i was thinking of waiting until spring for the water meth. what stage you running and what cut do you go with? i was thinking of getting the stg III programmer?
I went with the cheapo fleabay buy. It has two injector nozzles(couldn't even tell you what they flow), and it gets activated off of boost pressure. Mine comes on around 10-12 psi. Didn't really get it for mileage or power(though it's always nice), bought it more for the cooling effect
ya i was looking for the cooling effect when pullin my camper,30ft tow hauler with a full load of bikes beer and supplies is heavy. as well as when a guy is roasting rice rockets through town on a summer night. now we all know we love it when some punk thinks his gonna roast you big diesel and ya leave in a big black cloud. and i wash hoping to see that 90hp increase running 50/50.
what mixture are you running you water/meth at? Cause in diesel power web site the put the stg III on a completely stock 6.7 cummins with bully dog on fuel setting and posted over 130hp gain. now i know it's not a powerstroke but i'd think that it should be relatively close. and thats one of the new motors with the DPF system. i dunno but when i do it i'll kepp ya posted on how it feels. As well i'll installin my afe bladerunner and plumbing the water/meth through it. i've great things about the bladerunner.
I'm only runnin, a 70/30 water/meth ratio. There are other things to be added before I go throwin to many ponies at it. You may be able to achieve more hp by having more injectors or larger injectors.
