Question on replacing Side Mirrors

I have the crappy small mirror on my truck and would like to replace them with telescoping mirrors. Should I go with Factory Ford Mirrors? Or is the an aftermarket Mirror that would work.

Also Did ford make mirrors that were heated? And can I use mirrors from 99-03?

another also, if you have any links to sites where I can buy please feel free to include them

Thanks

Brian

FWIW I went with some from e-bay and have been very happy. No vibration issues, clear view and power adjustable. It took only about 30 minutes each side. They seem to always be available for a good price.

You can put anything up to an 07 on there. The new models require some wiring to get the turn signals and heat to work, but several here have done it.

I had the power small sport mirrors on my 2001 and installed the 2008 heated w/ signal tow mirror w/manual fold and extend. I love the way it turned out. I ended up doing some research to solder the original power connections and then ran wire for the signals and heat. Love the new look!

Just clipped the right side tow mirror....needed to be replaced anyway.

Does anyone have a prefered dealer on eBay that they've dealt with? Or maybe a better source than eBay? Will probably be doing both side as the power on the driver's side is shotty.
