1 quart to much

just did a shift kit and it looks like we put about a quart to much in, could this be a big deal or do any damage to the tranny, if you look at the dip stick its on the second "d" of don't add.

As you run the truck and get it up to temp, the fluid will expand and may try to escape from the vent, or the dipstick tube. Usually makes quite a mess when this happens.

it read that after the test drive so it was at running temp. I just dont want to wreck anything.

It should be fine. I have noticed that the sticks are sometimes too low, and a bit more won't hurt. Worse that can happen is like the one guy said it could kick some out, or it would aireate make some bubbles and shift weird or slip a bit. I think you would need 2 more quarts to do that though.
