Dealer Modification

There is a sticker under the hood that says a modification was done. The number is 3U7A 12A650 FUC. What mode was done?

That was more than likely a reflash to the PCM. Your local dealer can pull an OASIS report that outlines repair work completed on your truck by any dealerships.

Is there a sticker inside the door for it being a buy back? My truck has a similar sticker and it was a Ford buy back. I would go check the sticker on mine, but it's cold and dark outside...

The number looks like a Ford part number for a reflash/calibration. Modification stickers are done for reflashes that change or update anything related to emissions and this definately holds true for the 03's...

To be honest I have no clue at the moment. I would have to try and find out which recall or CSP (Customer Satisfaction Program) that particular calibration part number went to. There were a number of recalls and CSP's on the 03's that involved applying or replacing a modification sticker...
