Maybe someone who has done this will jump in. Until then, have you verified that your wires all have good connections and there is no chaffing anywhere?

I thought if the icp was disconnected the truck would be able to run in a limp mode. Is this true?

Good point, yes it is true - unplug it and see if it runs. I was thinking that a wire might be exposed and shorting out on soemthing.

On an '04, connector C1244, looking at the female plug, upper left=pin2 (GY/RD Signal return); Upper right= pin1 (BN/WH Reference voltage); lower=pin3 (DB/LG Inj pressure sensor)

so major problems now. Whilst driving the truck tonight after it warmed up it started to shudder and I experience a loss of power. I feel as thought it was my hpop, reasons for this diagnosis are that at high rpms the truck would run but very rough, at a red light it actually died when it went green. After a few minutes ( and pushing it out of the intersection) it started again and I got it home. But seriously I only have a 155000kms and this truck in the last two weeks has turned into a nightmare.

I have recently changed oil filter and oil (5w40 syn) 300kms ago
fuel filters 5000kms ago
ICP 300kms or less ago
Pigtail for ICP

What could be causing all this trouble?

So upon further inspection there is no oil dripping near the hpop. It runs fine when started from cold. As it continues to warm it gets worse; shuddering, loss of power, feels like misfire, to the point where if stopped it may die. To me this sounds like the HPOP has gone south, how much should this cost at a stealership?

sounds like you have HPOP leak. thats where early 6.0 had a lot of problems. you going to have to check it. there is a fitting on the HPOP that gets separated and leak will cause what you described.

so how do i go about checking for this leak and how about repairing it. Also could it be that I did not tighten the icp sensor on tight enough?

If you have a diagnostic scanner you can read the icp and confirm hp oil, also have you checked your fuel pressure?
