I've basicly just been traded. I parked my Bronco last year when the gas prices got outa control and bought a little Fusion (acually saved money for a few months). Now I can't keep my wife out of it! So now I'm driving the Expedition, which really doesn't hurt my feelings at all.
The vehical in question is a 2002 Expedition EB 4x4 with the 5.4
mostly stock with 126k on the odo. Runs great and strong still.
Current mods:
22" Amp wheels
K&N air filter
Power slot disk brakes
I will be tackling the dreaded exhaust manifolds soon (right side leaks) and because I have a problem with not leaving well enough alone, while I'm in there I'm thinking of these mods:
Shorty headers
High flow cats -I've been lead to belive cats stop working after 90k
Cat back muffler
chip/programer
This is a commuter and needs to pull my 4 quads, which it does pretty good now, and like I said I can't leave well enough alone!
Please any suggestions in which direction/products will be great to hear.
Well, from all my experience of modding cars I would tell you to leave it alone and save your money. I know it is hard, but doing all the mods generally leads to some issue and in the end hurts your resale value. I am battling the mod bug every day, and I am trying to just appreciate the great power of the 5.4, the nice smooth ride, and roomy cabin of my 01 Expedition.
