My Speedometer broke

Can anyone help have a 2000 F-650 Cummings my speedometer is not working. Checked fuses. Any help would be greatly appr.

I had a F350 and the speedometer is controled by a sensor on the differential housing. Pull it out and clean it off. Fixed mine.

It is called the VSS I believe and I hear they tend to get dirty.

It would be the big round thing right in between the rear wheels. Sometimes it is just the wires to the plug dry rotting, the plug becoming loose, or, the innards are dirty. Ever change the rear diff. fluid?

My dad's company had a couple trucks have a similar problem and it was the cable that goes between it that snapped
