I have a 1971 f100 and am looking for a way to lower the truck, it have a 1956 body on the frame. would it be better to use drop spindles or cut the springs and if I cut the springs what about the shock asorbers do they have to be changed.

do not cut the springs they are bent at a angle on the top and if you cut them they will not fit back in the spring pocket and on the bottum they ar tappers down. the only way i found was either to get shorter springs say out of a 65-66 get drop i beams, or the poor mans way heating the springs not a good idea. hope i was some help
