I was told that these are obsolete through Ford. These trucks aren't that old,so I'm wondering why Ford chose to discontinue these? I know there are custom consoles available through the aftermarket, but I'm looking for an O.E.M.-style console.
yo D!
Yes, E BAY or try some other dealers. A local dealer quoted a complete console @ approx. $275.00. It wasn't assembled and the parts list indicated every scew, washer, hinge, etc. needed to be oredered individually.
We opted for a Tuffy Console because it is stronger, well-built and cheaper than buying the OEM console.
This is probably a fluke if it's still available and the Bronco console isn't, but a co-worker has a '91 extended cab F150 with the buckets and the same console as the one used in the Bronco. I wonder if, by some chance, Ford would call the Bronco console discontinued but not the one for the F150? I know that Bronco Graveyard was advertising used ones in their catalog.....
Thanks for the help, everyone. The console on ebay is the right one,but the wrong color(it's gray, but I'm looking for a blue one).I'm either going to call that Bronco Graveyard place,or check locally in some yards. The O.E.M. price for one was $371.61,according to fordpartsonline.com , but they've told me everything has been discontinued. Oh, well, what are you going to do? I found a yard about two,or three months ago that had a '87,with a blue interior/console.Before I got there, somebody else bought it.DOH!

There is a Blue one on eBay right now with a couple of days left, FYI.
