I've tried this post a couple of places on FTE and so far have had no responses, but, i'm persistant so here it is agian. I have a 1992 F150 Nite that has been repainted and looks great, only problem is i'm having trouble finding the "Nite" decals for the tailgate and bed sides, can anyone direct me to someone that might carry them?
Also, i'm considering picking up a FIPK for my 5.0 and wanted to get an opinion on what i should be spending on one, so far the best price i've seen for my truck is $179.95 at 4wheelparts.com, I noticed also their price on K&N Airfilters is like $10-$11 cheaper than my local AutoZone has quoted me, so their prices sound reasonable to me. I'll have to go back and check out the shipping charges before i do anything.
There's a reason why you can't find them. The Nite was such limited production that it is not cost effective to reproduce them. You're going to have to conduct an extensive search....
The F150 NITE was basically a trim package, Black exterior, grill, blue "Nite" graphics on the interior, bedsides and tailgate.
I know it was a limited production truck but i'm going to have to search around to find out how limited and from what years they were in production. Mine is a '92, 4X4, fullsize. I just picked it up 2 weeks ago and absolutely love this truck. When i get some pics i'll post them to the site, hopefully through FTE i can get in touch with other NITE owners.
We've got a few Nite owners here. They are rare and they are beauties. I would suggest getting on Ford's web site and getting their 800 number. Call it and ask them if they can get you in touch with either Ford Historical or someone who can provide build information. From there, you may be able to get some help finding a dealer with NOS (New Old Stock) decals. You'll need to be polite and persistant as Ford gets lots of calls.
Hey Mikes66
Did you ever find the side decals for your F150 Nite? I also own one (1992) and have searched for replacement decals without any luck. Please, anyone email me at Indiansfun(No Email Addresses In Posts!) if they know where I can get these.
Steve
You can build your own K&N FIPK for under $60. The main parts you need are the filter (RF-1012), and two sections of exhaust pipe. I built one for mine and it looks and works great.
There is another post about it on this forum.
I should have pics of mine up by tomorrow afternoon.
I ran the part # on the Ford locator and come up with a number of dealers showing the side decal(F1TZ-9925622-BH),but nothing so far on the tailgate decal(F1TZ-9942528-BH).Let me know where you are and I'll give you phone #s.
