IDM mod, go for it!!
I just finished my IDM mod and the first thing that I noticed was that my truck now fires up much quicker and has a better throttle response. I know everyone has said how easy the soldering is for this mod, but to be honest, I can weld, not solder so I took it to a friend of mine down the street and he took care of it for me, used some copper rtv and wham-o, back on the road!! well sort-of, I still have to put my bumper back on before I can drive it, but that hopefully will be tomorrow!! for $0.00 it is a mod you can't hardly pass up!!! thanks again KevinC!!!

How much does this mod actuall help? Where is the IDM and where can I get a resistor? I just gutted the cat today, and the turbo spools much quicker and more peppy off the line. now I am after the next little cheap mod.

This is what it did for me: Much smoother idle with easier start. Turbo seems to spool faster and definitely whistles a lot louder at an idle. And me and the guy who works with me both noticed a difference in acceleration.
